200,000 sq.ft. (18,580 m²)
Garden Park consists of four 24-unit apartment buildings and 32 townhomes surrounding an interior public park along West Sacramento’s riverfront. As the pilot project in The Bridge District, the city’s first urban core, Garden Park leverages density to catalyze walkable streets, local businesses, entrepreneurship, sustainable living, and sensible future development.
The project is urban. The facades, in material, color and design, strive to reflect a neighborhood built over time with varying character. To set the tone for the future urban core, the apartments and townhomes are built up to the street to define the edge. Rooflines are staggered and carefully articulated to emphasize variety found in successful urban areas.
